What we install

We work on bathroom floors, shower walls and pans, kitchen floors, mudrooms, entryways, fireplace surrounds, accent walls and large open concept main floors. Most jobs use porcelain or ceramic; we also install glass mosaics, cement tile, encaustic, and large-format slabs up to 48 inches.

Patterns we install regularly across Calgary: straight stack, brick offset, herringbone, chevron, basket weave, and custom borders. We cut on-site with wet saws and use a Sigma score-and-snap for clean miters and Schluter profile finishes on every exposed edge.

Why substrate matters in Calgary

Calgary's seasonal swings and dry winters move subfloors more than coastal climates do. We install Schluter Ditra or Kerdi-Board uncoupling membranes under almost every tile floor — that decoupling layer is the single biggest reason your grout lines won't crack two winters from now. On plywood subfloors we check for deflection first and double up sheathing where required.

Layout, lippage and grout

Before any thinset goes down we dry-lay the field so the focal walls land on full tiles, not slivers. Large-format tiles are back-buttered and set with a leveling system so lippage stays under 0.5 mm — that's the difference between a floor that catches your eye and one that just feels right under bare feet. We use stain-resistant urethane or epoxy grout in wet areas and seal cementitious grout on request.
